Bill and I don't really even get out heart rates up because they stop at every tree, rock, or pole along the way. Toby can't even squeeze out another drop but holy moly he tries. Belle is constantly pushing him aside to lead. I guess she likes the view better upfront.
We are at South Toledo Bend State park in Louisiana. All the state parks we have stayed at have been beautiful. The sites are roomy, nice picnic tables, and camping pad are either blacktop or cement. These have some docks for boats and decks to sit out on. Every one has sandy prepared areas for tents if you were a tenter. We have water and electric at each site but no sewer hookup. The bathrooms are close with showers. No charge to use the showers and the laundry room is screened in. To do a load of wash, it costs $1.00, To dry it costs a dollar as well. I still don't need to do laundry but I always check out the facilities. Very clean.
Bill slipped away this afternoon on a beer run. We didn't bring beer with us figuring we would pick it up on the way. Well, to our surprise, they don't sell beer or alcohol in stores in Arkansas on Sundays. So much for our Super Bowl party. Our next stop in Murfreesboro, Arkansas was a dry county. Closest beer store when we inquired was 25 miles away. Well needless to say we didn't have anything to drink that night either. But today, he traveled back eight miles to the convenience store we passed as we checked into the campground.
I took some pictures of the Diamond Mine with my camera as well as this park. When we get to a spot with wifi I will try to post them .
I guess I will put this aside for awhile and cook. Fish tacos are on the menu tonight. Yummmm
Hope you are all well. Keep smiling!
No beer on Sunday's AND dry counties? Blasphemy! Can't wait to see the pictures :) <3<3
